BPHS Parking Passes for the 2024-25 School Year

*Please read all instructions carefully to obtain a parking pass at BPHS.

UPDATE: BEFORE you pick up your parking pass from the Activities Office, students must turn in a copy of the Owner’s Card, Insurance Card, Driver’s License, and Passenger List Form. BE SURE YOU BRING COPIES OF THESE IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS WHEN YOU COME TO CAMPUS!

The first step in signing up for a parking pass is to complete this Google Sign-Up Form to secure your (virtual) place in line. This form will become “live” to submit at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024. The order in which you sign up will be the order in which passes are assigned to students.

There will be a short priority allotted for senior students to sign up, and then the remaining spaces will be assigned based on the order to both seniors and juniors who sign up on the form.

Following the completion of sign-ups, students will have until the start of school to complete all the necessary paperwork and purchase their reserved spaces in Step 2.  Only students who have completed registration and picked up their passes can drive and park in their assigned spots.  Any reserved passes students do not pick up by the start of school will be placed back into circulation for another student to purchase.  Any students who attempt to drive without a parking pass will be ticketed and assigned an obligation of the full price of a Parking Pass ($50).

The Cost of the 2024-25 Parking Passes is $50. The parking pass purchase is payable via the eServices link found HERE. Students who purchase a 2024-2025 parking pass after April 1, 2025, may pay a prorated cost of $25. Sophomores may purchase passes if available, they have a valid PA Drivers License, and have completed all necessary paperwork.

SCHOOL YEAR STUDENT PARKING RULES AND REGULATIONS

For the mutual protection of persons and property, we agree that the driver will abide by the driving rules and regulations of the School District, including these listed below: Only Grade 11 and 12 students with a valid PA Driver's License will be permitted to park on campus ALL YEAR for a non-refundable fee of $50 may request a parking permit. Grade 10 students can secure a parking pass once all seniors and juniors have filed for application (time to be determined by HS Administration).

The BPHS Parking Application form must be completed and signed by a parent/guardian using the online Google form found below.

  • A non-refundable registration fee (paid online via the eServices link found HERE) is required before a permit is issued, and any outstanding prior obligation must be paid. Lost or stolen tags must be reported to the Office immediately, and replacement tags may be purchased at an additional cost.
  • When picking up the parking tag, students must turn in a copy of the Owner’s Card, Insurance Card, Driver’s License, and Passenger List Form to the Activities Office.
  • Issuance of parking permits will be strictly limited and dependent on the availability of spaces.
  • Student drivers must present their Driver’s Licenses when they pick up their parking tags.

PARKING PASSES MAY BE REVOKED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:

  • Arriving late to school may result in losing driving privileges (See the Attendance Section in the Student Handbook). Students are expected to be in homeroom by 7:25 a.m.
  • Unauthorized sharing of parking passes with other students.
  • Accumulating 10 or more unexcused tardies/absences to school or 15 days of absence.
  • Leaving school without permission.
  • Reckless driving, speeding, riding on hoods, or driving in a manner that is dangerous to oneself or others on school property are subject to prosecution under the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • A parking pass must be displayed in the registered vehicle. If you drive more than one car, you must also register that vehicle and keep the pass in that car.
  • Forgery of parking passes will result in the student losing their pass and will be assigned school discipline.
  • Students are to display parking tags on the rearview mirror. Failure to display the parking tag properly will result in a warning, which will then be followed by the loss of parking privileges, which could result in the vehicle being ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.
  • Students can park ONLY in their assigned spot in the Stadium Parking Lot, the far lot near the Softball Field.  Student spots are marked with a number that coincides with the number on the parking pass.  Students may not park in other students' parking spaces.

Parking is prohibited at Independence Middle School, Spencer YMCA, pedestrian walkways, end caps, reserved spaces, or teacher lots (other than in the numbered parking section). Students found parking in these areas will be disciplined accordingly and will lose parking privileges as determined by the HS Administration.

  • All requests for early releases must be made through the Attendance Office before the release.
  • All parking permits, fees, rules, and regulations apply to all forms of approved student transportation.
  • Two-wheel, non-motorized vehicles must be parked only in designated/approved spots and have a valid parking sticker attached to the vehicle's frame.

DRIVING TO SCHOOL PROCEDURES:

Under the two student parking locations, students may only enter campus and park as indicated by the lots they selected.  The parking pass allows drivers to enter the campus off Church Road and park in the high school lot adjacent to the faculty parking lot (not in the faculty area). The other students are to enter off Broad Street and park in the assigned space adjacent to the Black Hawk Stadium. Students may not switch pass locations without proper approval by the administration.  Failure to abide by the entrance location and designated parking locations will result in a loss of driving privileges and will be issued discipline as identified by the Student Handbook.  Students are not permitted to drive their vehicles through the front entrance of the building area (circle) during the school day. Doing so may result in the loss of a student parking permit.

Parking Permits will not be issued to students who have outstanding obligations.
