Bethel Park High School’s new "Introduction to Music Production" course allows students to explore digital music creation through hands-on projects like soundtracks and commercials, even without a traditional performance background. Led by Mr. Jonathan Derby, the program focuses on building foundational skills, fostering creativity, and preparing students for advanced music production or future careers.

Students from the BP Connect Club showcased their teamwork and problem-solving skills during a November field trip to Escape the Room Pittsburgh, where all six groups successfully completed their challenges. The event provided a fun and immersive way for students from IMS and BPHS to develop leadership and communication skills while strengthening their team bonds.

The 2024 IMS Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, November 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Independence Middle School cafeteria.

Bethel Park’s boys soccer team had a strong season, finishing as WPIAL Class 3A semifinalists with a 13-8 overall record and co-champions of Section 2-3A. The Black Hawks made a deep playoff run, highlighted by wins over Montour and Latrobe, before falling to top-seeded Moon in an intense overtime match. Led by all-WPIAL players Jackson Friday and Xavier Jackson, the team showcased resilience and teamwork, outscoring section opponents 50-11.

The Bethel Park tennis team, led by sophomore Cami Fisher, finished as WPIAL 3A runner-up and qualified for both the PIAA Class 3A and team tournaments, achieving a 16-3 record. Despite losing three key players, the team excelled in the playoffs, emphasizing teamwork and pride in their accomplishments.

Each month, Crumbl Cookies recognizes outstanding students and staff at Bethel Park High School with a series of awards, including Student of the Month Awards for one student at each high school grade level. They also recognize the top vocational students and students and staff who go above and beyond to make Bethel Park High School a special place to learn and work.

Seven Bethel Park High School students were recently named Steel Center Students of the Month for their outstanding achievements in career and technical education programs. Honorees include seniors Gabriella Balkovec, Lily Janus, and Matthew Yee, along with juniors Samuel Bostaph, Nathan Burke, George Misencik, and Ashlin Williams.
