Bethel Park High School held its 117th Commencement ceremony on June 4, celebrating the graduation of 339 seniors under a warm summer evening sky, with valedictorian Caroline Zelt and salutatorian Charlotte Gaston among the ceremony's featured speakers. Six students were honored through the National Merit Program, and more than 80 graduates were recognized as members of the National Honor Society.

Bethel Park School District's Music Department composed an original song, "Come Together As One," to commemorate the 2026 opening of Bethel Park Elementary School, celebrating community pride, honoring the history of 10 former elementary schools and incorporating a nod to Beethoven's "Ode to Joy." The song made its live debut at the fourth-grade chorus concert on March 26, 2026, performed by all district fourth graders on the high school stage for the 17th consecutive year. Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, all elementary students will learn and perform the song as a symbol of unity, with rising fifth graders taking a leadership role in guiding younger students at school events.

Bethel Park High School's monthly Crumbl Cookies recognition program honored outstanding students and staff across multiple categories, including grade-level Students of the Month, vocational honorees and Extra Effort Award recipients. Staff Members of the Month were also recognized, with all honorees receiving a certificate, a Bethel Park T-shirt, a $15 gift card and a free cookie from Crumbl Cookies.

Keith Jones, a 26-year veteran of the Bethel Park Police Department, was recently sworn in as the new school police officer at Bethel Park High School by Judge Arnold Klein.

Bethel Park High School welcomed its incoming freshman class during the annual Eighth Grade Move Up Day, giving rising ninth-graders a guided introduction to the building, its academic programs, and extracurricular offerings. The day included a Clubs and Activities Fair, student-led building tours, and a performance by Top 21, the school's student performance group.

Bethel Park High School honored the Class of 2026 at its annual Awards & Recognition Night, celebrating student achievement in academics, athletics, leadership, and service before an audience of students, families, educators, and community supporters. Caroline Zelt was named class valedictorian and Charlotte Gaston salutatorian, while dozens of students received scholarships from local PTOs, community foundations, and service organizations.

Among the notable individual honorees, Samuel Hoppe received the $23,000 Ken Waldie Memorial Scholarship, and three students each received $5,000 Joanne F. Turka Nursing Scholarships.

Bethel Park High School honored 34 college-bound student-athletes at its 17th Annual College-Bound Student-Athlete Reception on May 26 in the school's LGI room, with Athletic Director Laura Grimm and Assistant Principal Brennan Hoffer welcoming attendees.

Bethel Park High School hosted its annual Culture Day this week, giving students hands-on exposure to more than 20 cultures through activities ranging from Korean painting and Ukrainian egg painting to Latin American dance workshops and an African drumming exhibition. Organized by school nurse Tracy Ford, the event also highlighted the culture of accessibility and reflected the school's ongoing commitment to inclusivity and global awareness.

Nine Bethel Park High School students were named Students of the Month by the Steel Center for Career and Technical Education for March and April, honored for their outstanding performance in programs ranging from building trades and cosmetology to public safety and automotive technology.

Thursday's ceremony marked the 100th anniversary of the international journalism honor society and the 79th year of the school's chapter.
