Bethel Park High School teacher Mr. Brad Kszastowski was named the 2024 Linda Greb High School Advisor of the Year by the Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils (PASC).

Seven Bethel Park High School musicians earned spots in the PMEA Honors Band and will perform at North Hills High School under guest conductor Dr. Tonya Mitchell-Spradlin. Violinist Adele Stamenov will also represent Bethel Park in the PMEA District 1 Honors Orchestra after a successful audition, performing at Upper St. Clair High School.

BPSD will host a Flu Shot Vaccination Clinic on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the BPHS Gym.

The 9th Annual Operation Feed A Neighbor drive, in partnership with Bethel Park and South Park organizations, seeks donations of food, money, and supplies to support local families in need, with collections running November 1–21, 2024, and distribution on November 23 at the Spencer Family YMCA.

In October, Bethel Park School District participated in National School Bus Safety Week (Oct. 21-25) to emphasize the critical role of school buses in safely transporting students. The district's transportation department has shared important safety tips for bus drivers, students, and parents, highlighting practices like pre-trip inspections, safe crossing, and staying seated during transit. Pennsylvania’s school bus stopping law also requires motorists to stop at least 10 feet away when a bus’s red lights flash and the stop arm is extended.

Salina Thapa, a senior at Bethel Park High School, has been named the Bethel Park Rotary’s October Student of the Month for her dedication to cultural exchange, advocacy, and community service. Originally from Nepal, Salina is vice president of the Spanish Honor Society, president and co-founder of the Cultural Exchange Club, and an active participant in initiatives supporting immigrant families. She maintains a 4.0 GPA and plans to pursue pre-law or political science in college.

Bethel Park School District was recently named a Great Pennsylvania School (GPS), recognizing its commitment to rigorous academics, community engagement, financial stability, and resilience. Superintendent Dr. James Walsh praised the distinction as a testament to the district's efforts in providing top-tier education, with staff continually striving to improve educational outcomes and support for students and families.

Bethel Park School District is participating in the 21st Annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month to promote online safety and best practices. The initiative, themed "Secure Our World," focuses on encouraging individuals to use password managers, enable multifactor authentication, report phishing, and install updates regularly to ensure digital security.
