The Hawks will host neighboring Upper St. Clair on Friday for a home game featuring Youth Night, with young football players from across the community attending.
Under the new fan safety procedures implemented at the start of the season, gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Spectators may enter only through Gate A in the main concourse or the Purkey Field Gate on the lower level. Fans should expect to pass through metal detectors or be screened with a wand. District officials encourage fans to arrive early to allow time for proper screening.
Only clear bags will be permitted, and all bags are subject to inspection. Spectators who leave the stadium, including students, may not re-enter, and no one will be admitted after halftime.
Prohibited items include firearms, knives of any kind, including pocketknives, and other weapons; alcohol, tobacco products, including vapes, and drugs; and face coverings. Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) rules also bar whistles, cowbells, and air horns at athletic events.
Fans, including students, may not enter the field at any time, including after the game, unless they are authorized to do so. Middle school students and younger must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Tailgating is not permitted on school property.
Most of these stadium rules have been in place all season, with minor adjustments to help fans enter more quickly while keeping the process safe and efficient for everyone.
