Bethel Park School District will make up last Friday's weather-related school cancellation on Thursday, March 25, 2027, the district announced Tuesday.
March 25 was originally scheduled as the first day of Spring Break but had always been designated as the first of three built-in make-up days. The remaining make-up days, if needed, are Feb. 16 and Jan. 18, to be used in that reverse order.
The district typically uses remote instructional days during weather-related school closures, but that option was unavailable Friday, as many students had not yet received their personal learning devices and much of the community had lost power following Thursday's powerful storms.
The district said it remains committed to avoiding unplanned two-hour delays and cancellations when possible, though unpredictable morning weather conditions may occasionally make them necessary.
