In November, BPHS students Lindsay Gruska, River Hendrych-Bondra,, Lily Janus, Layla Jones and Ella Sabanovic participated in the South Hills Literature Festival, or “Lit Fest,” at the Carnegie Library.
Starting in September, the students read four novels each. This week, they competed against students from nine other area high schools in a series of literature-related events, including a battle of the books, a 53-word story, and book sculptures.
The titles the students read were:
