Bethel Park Rotary Club Recognizes Outstanding Student of the Month: Faith Clunan

In a recent ceremony held at The Garden Restaurant [4912 Gardenville Road], the Bethel Park Rotary Club celebrated the achievements of Bethel Park High School senior, Faith Clunan, naming her the January Student of the Month. Faith's dedication to academics, leadership, and community service has set her apart as an exemplary student within the Bethel Park community.

Faith Clunan boasts an impressive academic record, carrying a weighted GPA of 4.3. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom, evident in her active involvement in various clubs and activities within the school.

As the President of the Interact Club and the Student Leadership Team, Faith has taken on leadership roles, demonstrating her passion for community engagement. Additionally, she serves as a Student Government Senator and is a proud member of FCCLA, showcasing her commitment to both leadership and community service.

Faith says that one of her primary goals has long been to demonstrate to her peers that community service isn't a chore to be dreaded, but rather an opportunity to make a difference and have fun doing it.

“Whether you are with a group of friends or family, the act of serving does not only impact others but actually helps us reflect on ourselves,” she said. “All we have to do is help one another so that everyone can be okay. Lending a helping hand can turn a good community into a great community."

Faith is not only a dedicated student but also actively participates in extracurricular activities. As a lifeguard, swim instructor, and assistant basketball coach, she has shown her versatility and commitment to contributing to the well-being of her community.

Family plays a significant role in Faith's life, and she comes from a loving and supportive household. Her family includes her mom, Becky Magnotti; stepdad, Dominic Magnotti; dad, Dan Clunan; and stepmom, Vinessa Clunan. Her siblings include stepsister Victoria Magnotti ‘18, brother Shane Clunan 19, stepsister Angelina Magnotti 22, brother Joshua Clunan 23, stepbrother Gianni Magnotti 23, sister Ariana Magnotti (Fourth Grade), and sister Mia Magnotti (Third Grade).

Faith has not yet made a college decision and is considering both Pitt and Carlow, where she intends to study nursing.

One of Faith's standout achievements is her involvement in the Interact Club, where she has actively participated in community service initiatives. This year, the club adopted a Ukrainian family during the holiday season and organized events like stuffing stockings for the military overseas. Faith also shared plans for upcoming events, including the Sensory Movie Night in April, in collaboration with Best Buddies, and the annual Mother's Day Flower Sale.

Faith's dedication to community service aligns with the values of the Bethel Park Rotary Club. Students like Faith are nominated for the Bethel Park Rotary Student of the Month based on their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, civic honors and awards, organization membership, and leadership. At the monthly luncheon, honorees receive a certificate acknowledging their contribution to the community.
